How to Encrypt an Email
3 Ways To Encrypt Emails
1. Permission
If you access your email through the Outlook application on your computer, click the “Options” tab, then click on the “Permissions” icon.
2. Protect
If you access your email through Outlook Web Access (www.outlook.office365.com), you can encrypt emails via the “Protect” button along the top of a new email.
3. Keyword
You can use a keyword to encrypt your emails. When we set up email encryption for your account, we will set up your encryption keyword.
For example, if you’re in the medical field, most of the time your keyword will be “PHI”. If you’re sending Protected Health Information (PHI), simply type “PHI” into the subject line of any email, and the email will be encrypted.
