Compliance and Standards

NIST creates the standards and guidelines to help federal agencies meet the requirements of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Compliance with NIST standards and guidelines has become a top priority in many high-tech industries today. NIST helps to identify and prioritize a company’s cyber assets, risk thresholds, and optimal monitoring frequency.

NIST SP 800 Series

NIST also provides guidelines and recommendations through its Special Publications (SP) 800-series. NIST Compliance is based on best practices from several security documents, organizations, and publications, that are created as a framework for federal agencies and programs requiring strict security measures. NIST helps to ensure your organization’s infrastructure and data are secure.

I want to take this opportunity to thank IT Support RI for allowing Leo and JT to work with me on the NIST/CMMC project.
